Meyepath
mEyePath is a prototype for a device to assist visually impaired people navigate the world. The idea is to incorporate sensors in normal clothing accessories to empower them to live freely.
It consists of sunglasses sensing the distance of objects through the innovative integrated lidar technology on the market.

Even though this is a prototype, more powerful developments can be envisioned, by involving multi-sensor processing, haptics, machine learning technologies, and more to help visual impaired people to move confidently with devices of high-class design and fashion.

mEyepath has been awarded first prize at the OSA (Optical Society of America) Innovation School 2020.
The project has been carried out in collaboration with Kimberly Reichel, Anthony Crum, and Evan Anderson.
