Cryogenic RF switch driver
This device controls RF switches that are commonly used in dilution cryostats. The current pulses for the relay actuators can be tuned in length, current, rise and fall time to minimize heat load on the base-temperature stage. It features a touchscreen for local control and a SCPI interface via USB for remote control, e.g., with Python/Jupyter Notebooks. The pulse lines are isolated from Earth ground when not in use to any ground loop noise. It can control two SP6T RF switches, facilitating RF calibration or multi-experiment sessions in a cryogenic session.
Isolated USB to Uart
This board is a personal project.
It is an interface between USB and UART with electrical isolation of ground and power, with applications where breaking ground loops is needed. Differently from on-the-market boards, it has a USB-B port and can be mounted on breadboard, to be mechanically sturdy. The ground and power rails of the USB and UART sides can be 'jumped' for standard operation.

Micro-D to SMA adapter
This device was commissioned by a company of cryogenic electronics. It is an adapter from micro-D25 to 12xSMA, to be used in dilution cryostats to interface standard DC wiring (often terminated in micro-D) to cryogenic components with SMA ports.
The adapter was made in a team, where I've covered the PCB design of the first iteration
Brandeis students projects 2021
Here some of the projects of the Electronics Laboratory at Brandeis, Spring 2021. In the class, the students have learned prototyping on breadboard, PCB design, ATMega328 with the Arduino IDE, and soldering.

SMD TTT : learn to solder SMD Tic-Tac-Toe
The SMD TTT is a soldering kit to learn to solder surface mount components. The board is an electronic tic-tac-toe game, where the players select their moves with tactile pushbuttons. Developed at Artisans' Asylum with Mike Beach.

Laser safety interlock
This device has been developed for a company of laser imaging. The laser safety interlock enables/disables a laser according to the status of a set of external systems and devices, so that lasing is allowed only under safe conditions.

mEyePath
This project was developed for the Optical Society of America Innovation School 2020.
It is a prototype of a device to assist visually impaired people navigate the world. The idea is to incorporate sensors in normal clothing accessories to empower them to live freely. The prototype consists of sunglasses sensing the distance of objects through an integrated lidar chip. The prototype has been awarded first prize at the OSA school. Made with Kimberly Reichel, Anthony Crum, and Evan Anderson.
3D4X, 3D tic-tac-toe
Project developed for the Arduino contest by www.instructables.com. 3D4x, standing for 3-dimensional 4x4x4, is a 3D version of the classic Tic-Tac-Toe game. Wins the player who puts 4 signs in a row. Player can make their moves using a control board.
Made with Kimberly Reichel.
